As in life, yoga requires dedication, patience, and practice.

My whole life I said “I’m not flexible” like I was born that way and that was the way it had to stay.

By breathing deeply and stretching into my exhales, I have begun to move past my prior limits.

A short daily practice is more beneficial than a long flow once a week.

Where else does that show up?

Does consistent work allow you more momentum than procrastinating and working in long spurts?

Where do you need more patience in your life?

With yoga you can physically feel and see the difference when you maintain a practice.

That has helped me remember that sometimes even though I can’t see the progress I’m making in other areas of my life that if I just keep pushing little by little daily, soon I’ll be able to look back and see how far I have come!

Ten miles... we rode our bikes down to the Las Veg

Ten miles... we rode our bikes down to the Las Vegas sign, up to the Wynn, and back last night in absolutely perfect weather!

Let’s high five to how we Tetris’ed both of our bikes into the back of my Cherokee to start our adventure too!!! (Swipe!) We sat on the grassy area in the middle of Las Vegas blvd behind the welcome sign doing yoga poses to stretch out our muscles and soaking in the cool breeze.

We rode on the street, on sidewalks, over bridges, in elevators, and through areas we had never seen before.
Time flew by and before I knew it we were out way past when I’m normally in bed, but that’s what adventures are for!!! What adventures have you been on lately???

I have always thrived on personal connection and that has not changed a bit.

I have had so many great conversations with friends and clients over the past few weeks that really break up my work days.

I try and get up once an hour to exercise, move my body, and/or get a snack and refill my water. That usually happens when I get off of a call.

When you want to record yourself on your phone and you have all the right tools, but your light stands are at your studio and you want to do it... RIGHT NOW!!! Took my phone holder and a tripod and a rubber band... and voila! You can make it happen.

I started working with her a couple months ago and let me tell you... I have regained so much energy.
I used to feel sleepy throughout the day and now I have a steady level of energy all throughout my day.
I haven't felt bloated and have seen my abs start to come back too.

What does your new “normal” look like?
Welcome to what working from home looks like for me.... sometimes 😂

I try to keep it fresh and move into different rooms and areas, but the living room is where I get to spread out the easiest.

When I need to work on photos and attach my hard drive, I can sit in my rocking chair and have my dock sit on the window ledge.

Then my Fitbit will yell at me if I get lost in a project and haven’t moved in an hour so I get up, do some exercises or take a walk, and then go back to work until I can move to a different project/space.
Being used to having my desk at my studio with everything laid out has been a transition, but I’ve made my space work for me.

This Thursday, I’m going to be having a really important chat with this wonderful human, @coachjeannettecatalano on Lady Problems LIVE Episode 3!!! With everyone following #stayhomefornevada some of us are stuck in domestically abusive situations.

The amazing organization I volunteer with @cupcakegirlsorg has been overwhelmed with requests for support from the local community.
Thursday at 1pm PST we are going to give some clarity, support, and resources on both sides of the topic.

Jeannette Catalano is going to walk us through what abuse is/isn't, the abuse cycle, how to help and understand both the abuser and the abused, and much more. Having overcome a domestically abusive relationship herself, Jeannette now helps others through her coaching, hypnotherapy, and entrepreneurial ventures.

I know you’ve seen this fella pop up in my stories, guys.
Ziggy is my PIC. From the moment I met him, almost 8 years ago, I have been watching his hilarious personality pounce, plop, prowl, purr, primp, pose, and perform.
He’s an adorable yet fierce creature who speaks an entirely foreign tongue when addressing anything that flies.
I didn’t realize I would miss him so much when my friend watched him for a couple months. And I didn’t realize he would miss me either. But when I walked back into his life, the look on his face will never leave my memory. It’s like he saw a ghost. He didn’t leave my side for the next 4 days and still gets upset if I don’t come home at night.
One of his favorite things to do is pose... so here you go!! Do you have a PIC?
